Alta wide receiver receives UCLA offer

SANDY — It was easy to predict that Alta High wide receiver Ammon Barker would be receiving a lot of recruiting attention. The 6-foot-4 athlete moves very well for someone of his stature and leads a very good Alta team in receiving with 55 receptions for 1110 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year.

Utah State, Utah and Hawaii had previously offered and UCLA is the latest to throw its hat in the ring. Barker expressed a lot of interest in the Bruins and lists them as his favorite in a recent scout.com article.

Barker attended UCLA’s camp over the summer and has kept in contact with coaches ever since.

Barker’s Alta team is set to take on Syracuse in the second-round of the 5A playoffs this Friday.
