No. 1 Morgan upset by Juab

The Juab Wasps pulled off the stunning 3A girls basketball first-round upset of top-ranked Morgan on Friday night 45-41

Juab jumped out to a 25-18 halftime lead and then held on for the victory despite Morgan’s late rally. Kiz Farrer led Juab with 19 points, with teammate Tessa Bradford chipped in with 11.

Many wondered how deep Morgan would advance in the state tournament without injured star Ashley Garfield, but nobody thought a team that was once 19-0 would lose in the first round.
