Tuesday night boys hoops observations

Here are some quick observations from Tuesday night’s slate of boys basketball games:

Davis kicked off its toughest week of the season with a convincing win over Viewmont. Now the Darts turn their attention to fellow Region 1 contender Fremont this Friday.

West suffered some bad losses earlier in the year, but those struggles appear to be a distant memory after the Panthers beat Highland 60-51 behind Tyrell Corbin’s 29 points.

Bountiful’s McKay LaSalle scored a career-high 30 points and knocked down six 3-pointers as Bountiful improved to 4-5 by beating Salem Hills.

Judge blew an 18-point lead at Murray, but still managed to hold on for the 59-57 victory. The Bulldogs finished their 11-game preseason slate against all 5A and 4A teams with a 7-4 record, not too shabby.

Olympus’ Nick Paulos also scored a career-high as he racked up 25 points on five 3-pointers in leading the Titans past West Jordan.

The Union Cougars have got to be kicking themselves after missing six free throws in the final minute in falling to Emery 54-50.

What happened at the game you attended Tuesday night, if you attended one?
