Kudos to football coaches and statisticians

You’ve probably noticed by now that the Deseret News high school site has been completely revamped. This site includes individual player pages for every football player in the state. In an effort to make sure those player pages are complete with accurate individual statistics, our sports staff has been extremely diligent in tracking down stats for every school in Utah.

At the midpoint of the regular season, roughly 90 percent of the coaches are cooperating and submitting their individual stats each week. As of 1 p.m. this afternoon, here’s a brief week-by-week look at the schools who we are still missing stats from.

Week 1
92 of 99 reporting. Missing the following: Cyprus, Skyline, Taylorsville, American Fork, Tooele, Westlake, Ben Lomond.
Week 2
92 of 99 reporting. Missing the following: Cyprus, Taylorsville, Tooele, Carbon, Ben Lomond, Duchesne, Whitehorse.
Week 3
91 of 99 reporting. Missing the following: Cyprus, Granger, Taylorsville, Tooele, Carbon, Ben Lomond, Duchesne, Whitehorse.
Week 4
89 of 99 reporting. Missing the following: Cyprus, Granger, Taylorsville, Stansbury, Tooele, Carbon, Ben Lomond, Manti, Duchesne, Whitehorse.
Week 5
88 of 99 reporting. Missing the following: Cyprus, Granger, Taylorsville, Ben Lomond, Judge, Manti, Gunnison, Monument Valley, Monticello, Duchesne, Whitehorse.
